We are out of the lab and back with some new goodies for your crew! Yes, Team Olympics, Ice Sculpting, 60 Seconds to Success, and more…you have so many choices when it comes to team building, and we feel that we give you the broadest range of cool programs anywhere.
One idea that you may want to consider is a Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt – perfect for groups over 250. We hire actors and place them strategically (and discretely) around your party, then we write the script, stage the “murder”, and create an app that your guests can use to solve the crime.
We did this for 650 Googlers last year at SF City Hall, and the event was INCREDIBLE:

Our history with them include
s 4 GPS Scavenger Hunts this year. Traversing some of the finest venues in California (Windy Oaks Winery, Carmel Valley Ranch, Clos La Chance Winery, and the Monterey Plaza Hotel), the teams from IT, Supply Chain, Accounting, and the Director/VP/C-level folks have competed and learned about each other and themselves.
We are so proud of our affiliation with the Driscoll’s gang, and the fact that they are growing at such a rapid rate is attributable directly to their management’s vision for rewarding and empowering their employees…in the name of team building and fun!

our brand-spankin’ new affiliation with AngelHack! We are so excited to be a part of this amazing endeavor. We all feel like this is going to change the world, and we don’t really say that too lightly.
According to CEO Greg Gopman, AngelHack 3.0 is going to happen in 4 cities simultaneously this Summer. It will be the biggest and broadest event of its kind, and if the success of 1.0 and 2.0 are any indication, the sky is the limit.

2/12/12 – A study of over 1,400 employees found that social skills are the single best predictor of job performance ratings and assessments of potential for promotion for employees in a wide range of jobs.
Social skills in general are very broad, but applying social skills to the workplace can ultimately help you improve your rapport and performance. Some quick tips to help improve your social skills:
The SOFTEN Approach
Smile: Smiling at someone sends a positive non-verbal message.
Open posture: Keep your arms open when interacting with others, this sends the message that you are open to the conversation and new concepts.
Forward lean: Leaning forward while talking to others brings you closer to them. It shows that you’re engaged and interested.
Touch: In some situations and for some people, touching someone else is a sign that you’re interested in what they have to say. Okay, we know that maybe this can be taken the wrong way in the workplace, so unless you’re certain your interaction is appropriate we suggest you avoid it.
Eye contact: Looking someone in the eyes and making eye contact is essential to showing that you’re listening and interested.
Nod: Nodding is very helpful feedback for speakers becuase it shows that you are listening and understanding them. This keeps the conversation moving along, which of course is essential to ensuring a positive relationship.
